I am back after a 4-day trip to NYC to check my daughter into college. I am back in Malibu! Yay! Saying goodbye to my little girl was hard, but easier than I anticipated. I was super sad, but when I saw how happy she was, fitting in right away, completely in her element, it made me feel better!

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster because I am taking my daughter to college in NYC on Tuesday. I am so excited for her and for all the amazing opportunities life has in store for her, but my heart is broken and the truth is I have been crying every day since her high school graduation and drowning myself in ice cream. I didn’t see it coming. When did she become an adult? Where does the time go? Why so fast? I knew one day she would be going to college. Isn’t it every parent’s dream? I knew that she would eventually be leaving, but somehow I was hoping to keep her little a little longer.

OMG, this week has been hell for me! First of all, my computer crashed, and I didn’t have anything backed up. Yes, I know how stupid it was of me not to back up my computer, but I never thought a brand new Mac would crash on me so fast! They had to replace my hard drive, so I lost all my programs, including Photoshop. It’s been a true nightmare. Then all of the phone lines in my house crashed as well. So now we are without phones until Tuesday! The good news is the weekend has been beautiful, and I spent it at the beach with my kids.

Now that summer is officially here, the sun finally came out in Southern California. I am enjoying the beautiful beaches of Malibu so much that I am considering moving there for good!
