Balenciaga Whipstich Ballet Flats

From the runway to the red carpet, designers and celebrities have been embracing femininity with their clothing. Cascading chiffon, lace, and all things incredibly girly are incredibly trendy for this spring season. Since ballerinas are the essence of all things feminine, these Balenciaga Whipstich Ballet Flats are perfect to capture the girly trend for an everyday look. Read the rest of this entry »

Loeffler Randall Ankle-Wrap Ballerina

Snake embossed leather is always a classic for me–it kind of just goes with everything. And flats are a must for every season. So these ballerina flats seem perfect to me. The ankle strap is cute, and takes it beyond a basic flat. And the snake skin kicks it up a notch, so I can definitely wear these with nicer outfits as well, or to add some flair to a more laid back ensemble. The colors work as perfect neutrals and will go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. Plus they look sooo comfy!

Maloles Zoe Duo

I’m always on the lookout for cute ballet flats, and I really like these casual, striped Maloles flats. I love the nautical colors, the canvas material and the sweet grosgrain ribbon.

Flats like this are incredibly versatile because you can throw them on with shorts or jeans at the last minute, or do a more coordinated outfit. I think they’d be cute with skinny jeans and this navy and white striped jacket I got earlier this year. Cropped white pants and a cute navy or red top would look great too.

Less is the New Plus: adidas by Stella McCartney Kanti Ballet Flat

Before I had a child, I never felt the need to own shoes like this. I was always on time, and was always dressed up. However, now that I have a toddler (not to mention 3 huge dogs that are always in my way) it doesn’t matter how early I start, I always seem to be running late. I would love to say I’m always dressed to the nines with stilettos, but that’s just not real life! That’s where these cute little adidas by Stella McCartney athletic ballet flats come in. I can throw them on with yoga pants or cropped boyfriend jeans and then easily run my son to preschool or take the dogs on a walk. I think they’re super cute, and best of all, very inexpensive!

Bloch Patent Leather Ballet Flats

I’ve been seeing these Bloch patent leather ballet flats everywhere recently. They are super chic, and available in a variety of colors. With my Valentine’s Day theme, I’m showing you the hot pink of course!

These flats will be a great staple in your closet. I love the bright colors combined with touches of black. They’re a great way to add some color to your wardrobe this spring and summer. Plus, the price is pretty reasonable. I love Lanvin ballet flats, but I just have a hard time paying $500 for ballet flats, so these are a great alternative!

And, if you have a little girl, these ballet flats are available in baby sizes at chickdowntown.com. They’re so cute, I can hardly stand it! When I first saw them last week, I immediately had to e-mail the link to all my girlfriends with baby girls. They would also be a great gift for a friend expecting a baby girl!
