Last week, my oldest daughter had an interview at Parsons School of Design in NYC, so we decided to make it a family trip. Since my hubby was busy working in LA, we made it a girl trip! The interview went fine, and now we are keeping our fingers crossed. However, in the meantime we did some fabulous shopping!
The Chanel Spring Ready-to-Wear immediately set the tone of the collection by setting the fashion show in a barn full of hay, rather than the cliché tented runway (thank you Karl Lagerfeld!) When thinking about glamour, class and absolute elegance in a designer, Chanel immediately comes to mind. When thinking about the same traits in an actress, Keira Knightley is definitely at the top of my list. When pairing the two, the marriage makes complete sense. Both are classic, stunning and sophisticated.
Even if a lot of fashion editor might be screaming genius every time Karl Lagerfeld move a finger, I am not among them.
I mean Chanel fall 2009 is chic and timeless (although this season it sound like the inspiration came more from Henri VIII than from Coco Chanel) , but to me it always look the same, and even if the collections are always true to Coco Chanel spirit and elegance, I wish there was a little more …..creativity.

Last spring Karl Lagerfeld wanted us to wear guns as heels and even change purses on our shoes,like my dear friend Amy says WTF!!! who needed a change purse stuck to their shoes?
