Those of you shoe obsessed, Gossip Girl watching ladies out there, I am sure you were just as excited as I was to hear Miss Blair Waldorf plug fabulous designer Alexandre Birman on a recent episode. Not only do his shoes deserve the credit, but they are Gossip Girl worthy, and totally phenomenal in both their design and overall aesthetic. Blair Waldorf is not alone in her love of Alexandre Birman, her real life persona Leighton Meester is a fan of the brand in her daily life, as is fellow Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen aka Jenny Humphrey. Here at the Shoe Goddess, we love finding up and coming shoe designers, and Alexandre Birman has quickly become one of our favorites. I fell in love with a pair of his at Intermix this weekend and immediately started researching his designs. Then on Monday, Blair Waldorf, the reigning Queen of the Upper East Side on Gossip Girl, gave a shout out to her incredible Alexandre Birman peep toes. If Blair Waldorf loves them, then I love them even more! While these Python Peep-Toe lace-up booties aren’t the identical ones that she was wearing on the show, these are definitely some of my favorite peep-toe booties I have ever seen. Any of you that tuned into Gossip Girl this past Monday may remember Blair Waldorf strutting around in her HOT Alexandre Birman shoes. Well, I was beyond excited to hear the designer mentioned on the show, and as far as fashion, on Gossip Girl, what they say goes. These Alexandre Birman Snakeskin Suede Peep Toe Pumps are so amazing, I had to go into Intermix to try them on. After all, can you really have too many black shoes? I love braided leather. I think it always looks so chic and totally timeless. It is also an added detail that meshes perfectly with other designs on a shoe. The combination of leather and snakeskin is subtle, but very sophisticated and fun. The colors in this Alexandre Birman platform sandal blend together fantastically, and the whole shoe, including the platform and heel just all work together very effortlessly.
