Hall of Shame: Camilla Skovgaard “Saw” Mule vs. Jeffrey Campbell “Fang” Mule
Sadly, I have another Hall of Shame to share with you! This Jeffrey Campbell “Fang” Mule is a dead ringer for this Camilla Skovgaard “Saw” Mule!
Honestly, I don’t really like mules, and I don’t like treads at all, but regardless I can’t stand knock-offs. I really can’t tell much difference between the Camilla Skovgaard and the Jeffrey Campbell, except the heel on the Skovgaard is ½ an inch higher making it a little more elegant. But otherwise, these babies are almost the same shoe…even the names are similar in a horror movie kind of way! So, shame on Jeffrey Campbell!
Ladies, repeat after me: say no to knock-offs!

THAT SOLE is a SIGNATURE of camilla skovgaard. i am APPALLED that sir campbell would even TOUCH it. it is like when these cheesy wannabes paint their soles red. i ask you, how does it fee to be such a lackluster artist that you have to blatantly rip off another’s creation?
thank you for this section of this site. i search the web each day and i have found QUITE A FEW knockoffs that make me squirm. time to bring them to light!
I’m in two minds about knock-offs.
I love designer stuff. It angers me that the ideas can be copied without repercusions.
I know I will never be able to afford designer, so it allows me to wear ‘designer’ without the price tag. And I know, as someone who regularly spends $50AU max on a pair of shoes that the average person doesn’t even know they’re buying a knock off.
If my friend hadn’t introduced me to Louis Vuitton, I never would have realised that all those blatent rip-offs were based on their bags.
My dream is to one day own a pair of Louboutins, but realistically I would have to save for 5 years to get a pair.

Is this website only for rich snobs? Designer shoes are so ugly and never practical for every day use, yet I don’t understand the fascination with them and their expensive prices. If you wear them, you are in a click all your own. Isn’t it enough that women who’s shoe size is bigger than a 9 can’t ever wear them? And the heals, today’s fashion is either flats or stilletto. What happened to a pretty 2 inch heel with an arch support that I could wear to a gala event without breaking my neck or being taller than my date (I’m 5″10″, slim, and wear a size 11W shoe, plus at 50 my feet swell). So this fascination with designers is a sick obsession. I love knock offs and I give them more power to succeed because the rest of the world can afford them and it pisses you off so much because then you can’t say “I have one of a kind and you can’t afford them, ha, ha.”
Dear Oracle
Thank you for your comment, actually this is your opinion and I respect it but you have to respect if not understand other people taste and opinion as well.

I find it interesting that this site is so quick to point out designer knock offs when the site owner’s own husband’s company could be accused of the very same thing as evidenced below

It’s hypocritical if you ask me.
Hello Sally
thank you for your comment, unfortunately you are totally wrong so just for you to know.
1) I am not married to Max Azria owner of BCBG,I am married to his brother.
2) BCBG shoes are under a license own by the Camuto group for years therefore BCBG has no say in the design or manufacture of the shoes.
I hope this will help.

the point is to make a delicious shoe that all girls can afford and sometimes a designer comes along and makes a variation of a wildly expensive one so that us kinda girls can enjoy them, too. even a girl on a low-mid income wants to have what the rich girls have sometimes. we love the art of the shoe just as much. xoSasha
