Paris: Part 3
That’s it…my trip is coming to an end, and as happy as I was to be in Paris, I am thrilled to go home and be with my hubby and kids and sleep in my own bed! However, I managed to do a little more shopping before leaving…
One of my priorities when I am in Paris is to make sure I visit the Alaia store, so of course, I did. The spring collection was on display, and as usual, it is amazing. I purchased a dress, a belt and another pair of shoes. Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for my Amex, only the clothes were available. The spring shoes weren’t there yet, but guess what? I got some pics to show you! I know…I am the best!
Then I went to Hermes and couldn’t help myself! I got a super cute Picotin handbag in a gold color, and a cute pink wallet that was part of the spring collection. The store featured an Alice in Wonderland theme with a huge shelf that displayed all sorts of tea cups, tea pots, books, cookie boxes, shoes and handbags, all in soft shades of blue and grey. Then there was a huge tea pot hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the store, and in a glass case there was an antique version of Alice in Wonderland and, then of course, a lot of beautiful pastries.

Yes, yes…life can be sweet. Although I didn’t get a chance to go to Repetto, I still got two pair of classic ballerina shoes, one in a blue patent leather and the other in a light blue denim.

Bien sur, I went to Rick Owen and bought some amazing sweaters and wraps. They are by far the most comfortable pieces I own. Because of the very thin material, they sometimes get holes, but Rick Owens says mended holes are like scars. They tell a story, and I completely agree. I actually love my sweaters with mended holes.
I am done with shopping for now. A week goes by so fast, but no worries! I am off to NYC next week and then back to Paris at the end of the month!
