Nicholas Kirkwood “Alice in Wonderland” Shoe
Last week, as I was in Paris, I went to see the exhibit at The Printemps department store for the launch of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” movie.
The Printemps had asked several designers to create a special design inspired by Alice’s world. Bien evidement my favorite item is the shoe Nicholas Kirkwood created. The details are just amazing! Take a look at the tiny tea cups and saucers, the key, the antique pocket watch, the beautiful flower, and the heel that reminds me of a checker board.
Isn’t it a fairytale shoe? I would love to own them just for the thrill of looking at them every day and maybe to wear them once in a while to very special events. Unfortunately, I guess they will never be released to the public, but if they are one day that will be my dream come true!

those are really cool but i wonder who would actually wear them?
Oh well I agree with Cassie I will definitely wear them with jeans, but they are more collectibles than wearable.

Something a little for light, then a heavy thinker. I’m already the shoe in, but I want to deserve it. So, something princessy. If it’s from a Disney film that’s fantastic. But it doesn’t have to be. Just light and airy. Preferably from a film or show than specifically written.
WOW. I am just amazed to see the shoes, how a designer can think of this fabulous shoe. Ohh, if i could wear them for once, I think I would feel like a goddess or nymph.
I agree, I would love to at least try them on.
