Michael Jackson may have passed well before his time, but his legacy certainly lives on, not only through charity but through his unique style. One thing is for sure, Michael Jackson was a style icon, of his own fashion. Before his scheduled “comeback” tour, his personal stylist was looking for the perfect shoes for his concert, and turned to fabulous shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti to make the perfect pairs.

The shoes for a tour have to be suitable for dancing, they must be soft, comfortable and functional, but more importantly, the shoes that Giuseppe Zanotti was asked to design had to reflect the singer’s own determination and appeal. He took this challenge lovingly, and created fabulous shoes to fit the tour perfectly and all that Michael Jackson was as a person. There were three styles that were designed, and this one was an ankle boot adorned with Swarovski crystals in a rainbow of colors, that was beyond eye catching and full of light, like Jackson.

During the AmFar Gala Dinner, held September 28th at La Permanente in Milan during Fashion Week, this shoe was donated for the auction that was to be held. The shoe sold for 10 Thousand Euros, making a great contribution to fundraising efforts for HIV. Janet Jackson was one of the hosts of the event along with many others from Michael Jackson’s life. While this pair has been auctioned, the other two pairs will be displayed at a show dedicated to the late singer, which will be curated by the late perfomer’s personal stylist herself. Always a giving man, Michael Jackson’s charitable contributions live on, this time, thank you to Giuseppe Zanotti.
